I am so happy that Spring has finally arrived! We have our Annual Dinner coming up quickly. It is going to be very casual this year. No agenda - no speeches just lots of fun and conversation. The date is May 14th. A flyer with all the specifics will be sent by the end of this week.
As many of you know, I am a member of WNYLA, a WNYLRC committee for library assistants and support staff. Each year we hold a Getting to Know You event to bring Library support staff together. The events are usually held up in the Buffalo area. This year we are holding it right here in Allegany. I would love to have as many as possible be there to show them we are worth the trip down from Buffalo. The event will include a tour of St. Bonaventure's rare book collection. I saw things when I toured it that I didn't have a clue ever existed! There will also be refreshments and a door prize after. This is happening May 15th from 3-5 pm. It is free. More information will be coming soon.
I hope everyone received a scrapbook page for their library and are now busy thinking of what they would like to show on their page. If you want more pages, just let me know.
